Welcome to Mendez Middle School, where New Energy, New Vision, Same Heart honors both the future we are building and the deep pride of this community.
As Mendez returns to Austin ISD, we are creating a school where every student is known, valued, challenged and supported to reach their full potential.
What makes Mendez special is our commitment to both academic excellence and a strong sense of belonging. Students will learn and grow through rigorous instruction, caring relationships, strong support systems and meaningful opportunities to develop their voice and leadership.
Families can count on a school built on trust, partnership and clear communication.
Students will also explore their interests through fine arts, athletics and after-school programming that supports the entire vertical team.
